The Weekend...."The Roots", "The Wall", Cyndi Lauper and much more!

There is so much to do this weekend, so where do I start! I just love June!

I wanted to post these events separate because I believe theses are "Must See".
The 10th Annual Non-COMMvention @ World Cafe Live, 6/3-6/5
The Non-Commvention is a music industry gathering of noncommercial radio stations that's been hosted annually by WXPN-FM (88.5) at World Cafe Live since 2008.

Two and half days and 25 artists!!!!

John Legend & the Roots will play Non-Comm on Friday night, for example, and The National will be
at WCL at noon Saturday. Rising New Orleans star Trombone Shorty headlines the downstairs stage on Friday night, and Cyndi Lauper and Ike Reilly are on tap upstairs.

Other artist: Gaslight Anthem - Martin Sexton - Mayer Hawthorne - Judy Collins - Minus the Bear - Alberta Cross - Graham Parker - The Mynabirds - Bobby Long

"The Roots" Third Annual Picnic @ 2pm Festival Pier, Penn's Landing - 6/5
I went last year and I loved it.  If you know anything about family picnics ..its long and so is this show.  But it's worth it. O yeah, word to the wise, pack some goodies deep in your bag.  The food Vendors are expensive and it's a long show if you choose to stay for the whole thing.

Schedule performances: Vampire Weekend, Method Man, Ghostface and Raekwon, Clipse, Mayer Hawthorne, The Very Best, DJ Jazzy Jeff, tUnE-yArDs, Bajah and the Dry Eye Crew, Das Racist and Pattern Is Movement. Tickets: $66-$80. For more information: 877-598-8497 or  www.livenation.com.
