Restaurant Week in Philadelphia

Philadelphia Restaurant Week 2007, January 28 through February 2

Post your reviews of what restaurant is worth visiting again and which ones are not worth brining Kobee (inside joke) to. Feel free to include pictures.

Below are the restaurants I visited.

Fork - On a scale 1 to 10, I rate this restaurant an 8. I was pleased with the whole meal, but the best part of the meal was dessert (bread pudding) excellent.

Bliss - I was very disappointed all around. I had the Pekin Duck for my main entree and it was horrible. Once again best part of the meal was the dessert. Sweet Potato Tart which was excellent. The restaurant is very nice, but you can easily miss it and I know why. Don’t bother.

Alma de Cuba – I enjoyed everything about my meal except for the dessert which was this banana concoction. I had the “Fried Cow” for my main entrĂ©e which was very good, if you like fried beef strips. On a scale 1 to 10 I would rate Alma de Cuba about 7.5.

I had to write a lil' something sumthin' about Famous Dave's Barbecue. I went there for dinner almost 4 weeks ago and I loved it! Can you say, "Good-goog-ga-moogah" with a capital G? (LOL) Really the decorum isn't the best...it reminded me of being in a big log cabin or a house in the Ozarks, but the menu is very tasty. )

I thought Alma de Cuba was a very tasty meal all around. I had a great chicken dish and some tasty plantains. I also liked the atmosphere and decor of the place. I gave it a solid 8.
